Argon Streams HEVC

Argon HEVC (H.265) Streams are synthesised from the HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) executable specification using an in-house compiler. The resulting streams are analysed to ensure that the set gives 100% coverage of the HEVC specification. Using this robust methodology silicon verifiers and the management signing off the chip can be sure that their HEVC block is effectively tested, minimising the chances of bugs when the silicon returns.

Argon HEVC Streams covers the full HEVC specification with additions to the specification being covered under the support and maintenance contract.

During the creation of Argon Streams, the development team reported over 105 issues with the HEVC specification and reference decoder!
